Snakes, Trains, and Planes

15 Miles Parkway/Urban

This is literally the tail end of a Rattlesnake, on the bridge that spans Broadway, near Euclid.
It actually rattles when you pass by.
Chris, who is in this picture, can attest to that.

Here he is, attesting right now.  :-)

Another great bridge, just a stone's throw away, is the Basket Bridge

Here's another shot of the bridge, courtesy of Tucson Citizen.

Now we are past the bridges and on the parkway, just north of Avation.
All the following pictures were taken by CC, btw.  :-)

About another mile down the path, you get to go through a really cool tunnel.

Look closely over to the right and you can see the trains going by.
That's also part of what makes this such a great ride.

To our south, there are neighborhoods, and this path passes by some houses, like these.
Whee!  Chris is riding no-hands each time he takes a picture.

Still further on down the trail, we are in the middle of desert scrub.
It's really nice.  But bring Gatorade because it's also dry.

We're coming to the end of the desert and about to turn off onto Craycroft.
The path is a little beat up here, but the city has done a decent job of patching it.

Here we are off the parkway and on Craycroft.
There was some creepy lady riding in front of us wearing an AOL shirt.

Now, let's play a game called "name that intersection"
Can you name it?

And there's that creepy lady again, this time trying to get hit by a car.

Thanks for reading.
